34) Editing Pt 2 πŸ‘©πŸ»‍πŸ’»

Hello and welcome back to the world's GRRREEATTESTTT BLOG!

Today we will be talking more about my project and how editing is working out so far.

My group and I have officially hit the absolute end of our project and through this there have been MANY hardships and problems. For example, for the past month or so we have been more focused on getting all our clips done in a timely manner and making them all look wonderful. During this time, we have also been gradually adding to our final project and editing little by little through the scenes we filmed. Through this, by us just briefly editing we had gotten about up to a minute of screen time for our full video

UNTIL... we lost the device we did all of our work on...

Well, to be fair, we didn't actually lose the device we did our work on, the owner of it just took it back🀭all the way to Colombia... So with our work being hours away from us and us having to start straight from scratch merely two days before our project was due, we knew we had to get our act straight and figure out what we needed to do and dedicate a day to strictly editing.

With the iPad that we were using going away, we only had our laptops left so we downloaded the editing software we were originally using (cap-cut) and we also decided to download premier pro, unfortunately editing on a laptop was significantly more difficult than on an iPad, which left us at another problem, if we were to edit on our laptops and have to figure out all the works for them we would never get this done in time. This just meant we HAD to get an iPad and quick thankfully, I remembered that my grandma owns a brand new iPad with tons of storage for our project on it so I asked her to use it for my project, and in return she said yes! With a whole day wasted by us not having anything to edit on, we knew that we had to finish all of our editing the next day. The girls and I decided on meeting up at Mariana's house at 10:00, in which everyone showed up on time, on a weekend just to get all of our work done. The estimated time that we would've finished this entire project was 12:00 but boy were we wrong... We ended up leaving her house at 4-4:30, still with an unfinished project but do not fret, all we must add are our title sequencing and the credits! While discussed in the original editing blog, Mariana would be editing everything, it turns out that we ALL contributed so much work into the editing together just so that we would be able to finish it in time, with Leah doing coloring and title sequencing, Nahomy doing the ending portion of the film, and me doing the beginning of the film with Mariana.

Here are some pictures of us editing!
