Main Character Analysis
Hello and welcome back to the best blog ever!
Today we will be talking about the main character of our film opener!
Drumroll please... Lucia!!!
The film takes place in her room as we navigate through the challenging period of growing up and leaving your friends. While Lucia does not narrate in this film, we start off through her lens as she sees the girls meet at her home and as she greets them. Lucia is a 18 year old girl who has just recently graduated from high school and has big ambitions for her college life. Her motivations are her family and friends, especially the group of girls that she has been close with since elementary days. While her ambitions her high, she lives a casual life, often going out with friends and traveling as we will see through the tour of her bedroom.
One her most important props in her room would have to be the photos that she keeps of her friends and her life. It shows the balance and calm that she has experienced in her life... until she receives the text along with the other girls that changes everything. Lucia's personality is quite closed off unless she is around the people she is familiar and comfortable with. Her mental state in this film is quite rocky as she is leaving everything that she has loved aside and moving away to college, a rough a difficult move for her. Lucia is unreliable through this film because as she receives the message along with the other girls, she is just as oblivious as to who sent it as the other girls.
