32) The Big Change 😸

Hello guys and welcome back to my amazing blog!

Today I will be discussing why we decided to have a major plot change and why we decided to conjoin back with our old group members!

Why The Big Change?

Honestly, I was very unhappy with the initial idea that we had for the project... The film we decided consisted dialogue and acting, something that we're not proficient in. Before starting this project, Mariana and I watched many past projects and were enthralled by the creative ideas that everybody had. We knew we wanted our project to not just be good, but to be superior. Keeping this in mind, having a script, and having to act would've probably diminished our chances of having a great project. It was a random day in class that we were reviewing old media studies projects that we both realized how unhappy we were with our idea and decided to have the big change. Although starting a whole new project would have meant that all our planning and filming would have been for nothing, we realized if we really wanted it, we would work it out and be able to do it.

Some Challenges:

So great, we had a new project plan that we throughly enjoyed and knew that we would be able to have a good performance in, we still had to notify our old actresses... One thing that we were very unhappy was, was how unreliable the girls we had before were. We would text the group chat and they wouldn't respond for days. After notifying them about the new project, they took a whole day to respond to our new plan and we knew that if we kept working with girls that treated our project like this, we would never get it done. Considering this, we had to get rid of them asap!!!. After their late response we texted them that we completely changed our idea and said there were no need for actresses in our film 🤫. After that, we had to brainstorm people to ask to be in our new project and although we knew Nahomy and Leah had their own project, we asked them to act in ours.

Why Did we Conjoin Again?

After sending the girls the text, asking them to be in our project. They thankfully responded with yes! We discussed our plan to them and said what they would need to act out but half way through we realized if they were saying their input into the project too, they might as well join. Which was honestly perfect so now the responsibilities are more spread out and we have more input with our group-mates!
