26) Editing πŸ‘©πŸ»‍πŸ’»

Hello and welcome back! Today I will be explaining to you the editing process of our project!

PREFACE

As you know from a couple blogs back, my group and I have decided to completely ditch our old idea and create a new one. We got together for the first time in months and discussed the idea of our new project on 1/25. After discussing, we knew we had to film that day immediately to maximize our time as we're honestly cutting close to crunch time. Although we did not finish filming all of our scenes that day, we had enough to start our editing and start piecing our project together.

EDITING

Although we wanted to branch off and try to use different editing programs, we eventually went back to our roots and decided to utilize 'Cap-Cut' we were already familiar with this program from the sound story and knew a couple of tricks to it so it was honestly best. We won't use many video effects/transitions, per se but we will be utilizing filters to create more of the yellow/orange hue I had discussed in past blogs. There were not many problems with editing, to be honest except for the overlaying of the sound with our clips. After Mariana and I had created the first rough draft of our project, we wanted to send it to the group chat so that they could see and add their two cents. However after downloading the clip, we realized the music we added had disappeared and we had to go back and re-add it. Our solution to the problem was to overlay it as a new clip instead of trying to add it into the audio that was already there. As said in my sound blog, Mariana Van Brackel had decided to bear the weight of mostly editing the film. However, the girls and I will be here for her to lay an arm on if she needs help and we will add our opinions on what to add in the editing of the film.
