Storyboarding
Cinderella 2015
Hello, and welcome back to my one and only blog!!! Today I experimented in storyboarding for the very first time. I have learned that storyboarding is a fairly easy process... unless you can't draw (like me) Storyboarding is the process of drawing a general outline of a scene you would like to add in your film and describing what the scene would be like. For example, putting a quick caption on the side or describing the type of shot that the scene would be in. I believe that storyboarding is important in the film making process because it allows you to see the flaws in what you're picturing in your head. Putting on paper what you would want to be in your film helps you visualize what you would need to do in real life to put that together.
Furthermore, today in my storyboard, I chose the movie cinderella. Some challenges I had in making this storyboard was 100% the drawing process. The details in each scene are extremely elaborate and precise. The castle, along with her dress were also partially difficult to draw especially since it was in every other scene. If I were to do another story board, I would try to chose a scene with less cuts in them. However, the underlying problem with my storyboarding is definitely the fact that I'm not the greatest artist, so I think that if you're proficient, this task in film making wouldn't be too difficult for you.
