My Editing Experiences

In the past, I never really experienced with editing, although I did know some websites and apps that could aid in editing videos. Editing these clips were quite simple as I just watched videos that briefly explained and showed examples of these transitions and I tried my best to recreate them. I used the app CapCut to help me achieve these transitions and I think they turned out quite decent. In these videos, i have created a dissolve transition,jump cut, and a fade. In the dissolve transition, I wanted to make the feeling as though the toy i had in the front magically dissapeared in thin air. The sudden movement of the toy in the next scene, while the camera stays in the same place creates this effect. Secondly, In the jump cut scene, I took inspiration from the movie coraline as i feel like the clay animation used in the movie has many jump cut transitions. Furthermore, i just took scenes of me lighting a candle and put them chronologically in order. Lastly, in my fade transition I wanted to create the effect of the objects moving around by themselves. to do this, I took a one video of the objects in one spot and then took another with the objects in another.
